I cancelled Rogers cable.
I want free TV from an (exterior ?) antenna.
I don't want to turn the search for free over the air TV into a hobby.
I would like to have the name of a competent person that could actually come to the house, asses the needs, and install the needed antenna and charge me for his/her professional service
Any suggestions ?

Regards,

Luis

Did you find someone, Luis? I think the problem is there aren't many people doing this work because they make more money installing Bell ExpressVu dishes. There are plenty of riggers around that do tower work, but none that I'm aware of even pretend to be HDTV OTA experts. Hence, they would rely on your instruction as to size of antenna, support structure, pre-amplifier etc.

Here you go,

Nadeem - 647-838-5530
He can put it on the roof for you. Call him for pricing but around $120-18o he charges.

Victor - 416-5058-2379. Call him to compare, but not sure if he will go on your roof to install. Ask for price and if he will put on roof.

My suggestion is to be put on a roof for best reception. Nadeem reall knows his stuff so he maybe the best to go with.

Contrary, there are many people who do install...go to Kijiji or cragslist and type in "antenna" or OTA"...so will see more intsallers.

I am getting 21-24 channels since i put it on the roof....

Good Luck

I did find someone. Thanks. It works great. The only thing that is not quite as good is the converter boxes I got for my non HD Tv's, where some of the channels are skippy sometimes. Its great elsewhere though (even with the antenna under the top of the roof....

17.2
17.3

26.1 - in and out
26.2 - in and out
36.1
41.1
44.1
49.1 - in and out
49.2 - in and out
57.1
64.1 - weak, freezing issues

Would you please post more details about the installation?
How much did you pay for and what's included? Does it include the antenna? Which one? Are you happy with it?
I just started out and am thinking about getting someone to install the antenna on the roof so I can receive OTA HD plus local channels. I would like to get an estimate of the cost first. Thanks.

Anyone has any help as to what antenna to get?
