After trial and error I determined that code 0178 works good enough for my purposes. Maybe this will help someone else

We had this combination at the Extreme makeover house. We yanked that display and put up a Panansonic instead.

RTI T2+ with a RP-1. We sold it to him at cost and I donated the programming for them.

I could see by following Rich's business model I will make it big doing this. This project was an exception though, and well deserved.

I tried 0178 with NO luck.
Does anyone have info for a code for a Comcast Remote control
and an Syntax-Brillian Olevia 337 TV????
LG, RCA, Phillips, & Yamaha codes DO NOT WRK.
Thanks to anyone who can assist.

Then you're out of luck, sorry.

Any luck, I have the exact same configuration.
I think we're going to have to get a learning universal remote.

Thanks,

I recently purchased an Olevia 237 and yesterday tried to get it to work with my Comcast remote. The remote they gave me is labeled "Comcast Custom DVR 3" and takes 4 digit codes, but, after looking at the manual on the Comcast remote page here:
[Link: comcast.com]

the Comcast Cutom DVR 3 actually takes 5 digit codes and has a category for LCD TV's (new) and Olevia is on the list. (Mine is actually the Comcast DVR 3, not the Custom)

I tried my local Comcast store and called customer service, but no one seems to know about this remote nor how we Olevia customers can get ahold of this remote. I notice that Vizio and other mass market LCD TV's are on the new list, so I am thinking that this remote will soon be available. If anyone else finds anything else out, please share!

PS I have since found out that the way you tell the difference between the remotes is that the newest one has a red select button while the older one has a gray select button.

Get yourself a upgradeable one-for-all universal remote like the urc-8910, have tv code 1610 loaded over the phone.

The Olevia remote RC-LTU works great with the comcast digital hd box. The code for it is on the code sheet for the Olevia remote itself....

I'm having the same issue. I have an Olevia 232v TV. I have a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR with Comcast (former Adelphia area) and have the Comcast DVR 3-Device (4 digit entry codes) and have tried everyones suggestions and NONE work. What do we do without going to a universal remote?

Thanks.

I have the same problem guys but comcast just sent me a new remote with dvr capability and it has a 5 digit code with a special lcd tv section and Olevia is listed as a manufacterer. You can also purchase the remote if you cant get it in your area from ebay.

Would the code that worked happened to be 11610?
