Hello All,

Anyone having a problem with "ON DEMAND?" I've been without On Demand for 3 weeks. 3 different techs came out but still no O.D. The message is "communication error." Comcast isn't charging us for the box this month, but it's an inconvience. We live in the Philly area 19027. Anyone know when Verizon FIOS is coming to the area?

The ON DEMAND is a two way communication system. So if you have Splitter or amplifier that is not bi-directional, the ON DEMAND feature will come back and say "communication error."

Just had the same problem with Adelphia--thanks to this thread I didn't have to have them come out for me. I had my cable run into my TV, which has a split out jack, of which was going to the cable box. Turns out that it would not pass signals back. So I unplugged it from the TV, put a standard 2-way in, ran one to the TV, one to the box, and it all works perfectly!

Glad to be of service. Your system is only as good as the tech who put it together
