Am I the only one who has issues with Comc*$t around here....

1 house........Very BIG!.........
lotsa cable boxes, cable cards etc.....

Theater room....Cable box shows Dark grey/Black tones on all HD channels............swapped out box......fixed problem

Downstairs living room.........Channel not responding on MX-3000 30% of the time..........unplugged cable box, wait, reboot, problem fixed

Upstairs living room.........box not responding to commands, macros for channels getting only last two of macro..187 gets 87 etc etc....unplugged box rebooted.......perfect 50 out of 50 times........
I know this I was there to prove them it wasnt our remotes..........

Besides a ground loop or bad equipment why does the cable box lock up as much as it does..........The hard drive, the area, the sun and the moon.........Should I run UPS backups on all boxes, this is just annoying.

Tired of fixing Com**$t's problems.........

Ive now made the cable box power cord readily available to all installs, and when I get a service call I have them unplug the box and reset it.......Oh they say, it's working now, do you still have to come out.?

Please don't say switch to dish.........
