Yesterday in the mail we received a letter from our cable provider saying we were going to a new onscreen guide..enclosed was full colored instruction book..of course the remote pictured wasnt the one which came with the STB/DVR. Usually it takes weeks for them to start anything new so i was surprised to see a new guide on the tv this morning..i couldnt find a way to access the recordings i had on the DVR , so i called and was told they sent an alert over the system yesterday telling you all your past recordings would be erased!..Wonderful!..the one thing i was saving was the Gene Simmons Miller light commercial..if you saw it you know why..anyway, the new guide appears to be tivo based and isnt as user friendly. I spoke with the office manager who said they were swamped with complaints...He said he would get me different instructions for the remote!?..i have a MX-500 which has worked great for me..the original remote to the STB doesnt have any buttons to bring up your recordings..did it thru the menu button before and now its not there..im going to go get the NEW instructons and see..sorry for the bitchin..its snowing and miserable out so i have nothing better to do!

Richnwb,

What Plasma monitor do you have?
What input does your monitor use, is it DVI?
I don't have an answer for you I am just curious.

If you do not want to provide this info on line I understand.
