"I know i'm retared"

Then get an adult to help you....even to help you post a question that can be understood by the non-retarded.

OH.......OK i guess im not the only retared person here.....i feel beter, thx guys

i will try this again

I GOT A ""GRAPHIC CARD"".........
(Albatron FX5500 series nvida geforce graphic card) -to be detailed.
IT COMES WITH A ""S-CONNECTOR"" ((4-pin)) -if you must know
=>>(The S-Video output connector is used to attach a cable of S-Video compatible display device such as TV or VCR)<<=
GOT THAT?
When i hook my TV/VCR/XBOX to it, it wont read
I Installed the graphic card and the s-connector with the CD
It said it had a problem installing something
SO.....
I went to Install it at (ADD HARDWARE) in (CONTROL PANEL) at (START MENU)
it found it "BUT... it still has a problem"
something about a code 10
nVida WDM Video Capture (universal) IS THE ONLY THING NOT WORKING!!

SO DID ANY ONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM??
DOSE ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX IT??

BTW.... "I know i'm retared"------> i was just kidding
"im not as special as you guys"
:P

It sounds like you're trying to feed a video signal into a video output. That won't work.

Maybe you need to install/reinstall the card's driver. Try 'add/remove programs' instead of 'add/remove hardware' if the direct approach doesn't work.

Keep in mind you're having a computer issue, not an audio/video problem. Also keep in mind that this is a friendly volunteer site, and we're not getting paid.

Albatron... "Captures the spirit of the albatross". Maybe in Taiwan that slogan works, but the "albatross" doesn't really have a good rap around here. :-)

Back on topic. According to [Link: albatron.com.tw] the FX5500EQ has S-Video Out but no In. And the only other FX5500 model has no S-Video whatsoever. So I'm not sure why you're trying to hook an XBox up to it...

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Larry's first post, "Huh?", gently asked you to carefully explain, with lots of details, what was not working for you.

Above, Larry is basically asking you to consider the fact that anybody who answers you is doing so because they want to, and they don't have to, but we all like it when more people understand this stuff. And, hey, we learn things as we go, too.

With that in mind, look at the attitude you then sent us:

With any computer problem, if you can't tell us exactly what the error message was, the only people who will know right away what is going on is people who have had this exact problem. That is really unlikely on an Audio/Video site. Not so unlikely on a computer site.

SO.....

What does ":P" mean?

Those comments just did not sound nice. You're not being nice and you are asking volunteers to go out of their way to understand and help with your poorly asked questions?

You see, that is why one of the responses was this:

Nice is good. Please try it, and when you are asking a technical question, realize that "something" does not belong in it.

Ernie,
I think this guy is doing just fine. Except that he can't spell or use basic grammar or understand that this site is aimed at remote controls. I'm a little confused how he has internet "PC guy" demeanor down pat, but can't handle a video card. Doesn't make sense.

BTW, :p is a smilie like :) but it means sticking your tongue out, or "Razz". Usually to say, "so there!", rather than be offensive. He actually used it correctly.

Perhaps you missed Larry's post in all the silliness. Note the first paragraph, esp. You can't plug an Xbox into a video card. They are both output devices, you need an input.
