I sold a cust(Commerical). thats getting 14 HD-20's and 1 HD-TiVo with about 35 TV's, and what I wanna do is assign each box a channel number(75,76,77 and so on) so that any TV can be put on that channel and get whatever is being shown on that reciver. This cust will be getting reg. programing from comcast just getting "NFL Sunday ticket" and other just sports packages. (all HD with HD locals)All I need is to pointed the right way in what switaches I need after my 5x8's I will be installing the Ku/Ka dish for future use......(This is a Sports Bar that Will show all NFL games on Sunday)

You mention HD and modulation channels, might want to rethink your approach.

Extron would be a good place to start for HD Matrix switchers.
When good enough is not good enough.

Why are you using H-20 high def receiver and hd tivos when you are talking about modulating the video outputs? You can not modulate a high definition video signal. Save yourself some money. You could simply use D-11 standard receivers. Unless you need the RF remote then you don't need to use H-20 receivers if you are just going to modulate the video output.

If you are going to do the job...why not do it the right way?

Another thing to consider is there are never 14 games going at the same time, maybe eight tops, you may want to reduce the number of sat boxes you install. It's going to be tough to insert fourteen channels into the cable system, you will need a few channels between each modulated channel to avoid interference so you'll have to trap out a good chunk of the higher cable channels to get the head room, hoping you don't eliminate a channel the bar needs to show. If you want the HDTVs to actually show HD you'll have to wire component video from the HD-20s directly to the sets. You stated you had 14 HD-20s and 35 TVs, don't know if all the TVs are HD, if they are you will need a component video spitter or "switch" to connected HD signal to all the sets. Also watch out for the delay issue between analog and digital broadcasts (if a TV is on basic cable FOX and another is on sat HD FOX there will be a delay) I've done alot of sports bars and there is tons of things to consider when designing the system, ease of use being one of the most important. When you start modulating alot of channels and doubling up TVs on the same sat boxes operation is going to become a nightmare, it has to easy enough for the employees to use. Make sure you and the owner are on the same page on what he wants and what it will take to control it.
