New to this forum-very impressed with the level of intelligence. Maybe you guys can help me. We purchased a DirecTV Plus (R15) DVR to replace one of our receivers. It comes with an RC23 Universal remote. We have a Sanyo tv with no AV connections. We also have a DVD player hooked up. Everything works except the TV input button, which allows you to switch over to an AV channel (like to watch a DVD). Our original tv remote doesn't have a button to allow us to do this...and we even tried a one-for-all universal remote with no luck. Can anybody help us get the tv input button to work or can you recommend a universal that will work? We have tried everything we know....Thanks!

The OFA remote could probably get you your input command, but no OFA remote has a preset code for R15. What model of OFA remote did you have?

Get the OFA urc-8820, it won't have code for the R15, but you can teach it the commands. As for the input command, if you were using setup code 0154 for the sanyo tv, try this for the input command:
1. press Tv 2. press and hold SET for two blinks 3. enter 9-9-4 4. tap SET for one blink 5. enter 0-0-1-2-3 6. pick a key, that key should now be the input command.
