I believe I had heard that this Satellite receiver, the new standard satellite with a DVR built in will have capability of using a UHF remote. Is this true?

It doesn't have that capability now, who knows if it will in the future? It does get that feature, it will need a new remote, the oem remote, RC23 isn't RF.

Just find one of the white remotes with the fcc sticker on the bottom, that should do it. If all else fails, set up the reciever for rf in the menus. If it works, keep it. If it don't set it back. Download the manual for the h10 reciever, and set it up with those instructions. It may already be setup. I've had a few r15's mysteriously "work" from behind cabinets and walls. If none of these options have helped you, just wait for DTV to release that option...
