I don't think a member name such as "theRIAA" without a location, or even a continent, nor an email address is likely to be a responsible professional, but let's look at what is said.
On November 16, 2005 at 22:11, theRIAA said...
the only was to play the music on your computer
is to install this software.
If I remember correctly, this is Sony's idea of limiting things so the only way to play S O N Y C D s (not all music, just SONY CDs) is to install this software.
It prevents you from
copying the music to youre hard drive (given),
That's "your"
makeing a copie of the CD (shame on sony), but
that's "copy"
the big thing everyone is mad about, is the hole
it opens in you're internet security that alows
that's "allows"
hacker to do REALLY REALLY BAD THINGS you're
compter...
that's "your," probably "hackers," and "computer"
oh yea... its already been cracked.... all of
sonys "protected CD" are available over you're
that's "CDs," plural, and "your"
favorite file sharing program... i just dont know
that's "I," capitalized; and "don't"
why all these companies cant lean that if it fits
in our computer, we can do anything we want with
it.
"lean?"
You had me going for a moment there, then at the end, you said "we can do anything we want with it." An issue here is deciding not to do something we can because it is wrong to do that thing. Perhaps you did not include your home address in your profile because your attitude shows that if a person COULD do bodily harm to you, according to the philosophy you express, they WILL.
I do not believe that. It is up to you to be legal.
Note that your attitude is probably not that of the actual RIAA. If you ARE the RIAA, all I can say is, I liked your curve but not much else you have done is worth a crap.
