Okay...i am not really noobie. But what gives. I need some instruction on how to get my D10 to change codes. I followed the choppy instructions in the manual, obviously i didn't get it to work. So how does the D10 know wether you choose 1,2,3 or 4 on the remote in mode AV1 or AV2? The help is appreciated.

As far as I know, only the D10-100 series has multiple remote addresses.

Program AV1 or AV2 with a code other then 00001, chose from 00002-00004.

1. press the MENU button on the rtemote control( Quick Menu appears)

2. Select SETTINGS from the Quick Menu

3. Select SETUP from the SETTINGS Menu

4. Select REMOTE from the SYSTEM SETUP screen

5. Select RECEIVER MODE from the REMOTE CONTROL SETUP screen.

Follow the the On-screen directions to set up your remote to control two DIRECTV Receivers in the same room.
