I just joined up... This looks like a good group. Hopefully I can contribute something now and then, but for now I have a question...

I have a Dish 322 receiver. For some reason, the coax output for receiver #1 introduces some vertical lines to any monitor it's hooked up to. It doesn't happen on tuner #2, and it doesn't happen on the RCA output for tuner #1. A second receiver was checked, and it does the same thing. So it would appear this is a 'feature' of the 322. Without going into lengthy details as to why... I basically need to make tuner #1 somehow work properly on coax. Has anyone ever seen an adapter that will take the RCA video/audio outs, and combine them into one F female connector? I think that's about the only option I have to make the system work the way I need it to.

Thanks,

Dave

I'm assuming that you are going out to other tv's with the coax output of tuner 1. if this is so you can get a modulater. this takes the rca's out of the\sat reciever into the modulater, the coax out to either just one tv or multiple tv's via your coax ne twork.
you then find a channel you are not using set the mod tp that channel and view tuner 1 on thatt channel. i think the322 has\a\built in mod, actually if you have a option to set that built in mod to a\different channel, do that. you need one clear channel between, to get a clear signal. for example: fox is on chan 25 wb is on 30
you could us chan 27,28 ,23,32.
the mod are $50 and up.
good luck.

Thanks... For some reason I was thinking you could go from one to the other without it being powered... But I found a modulator at RS for $30. Works perfect... And yes, I was trying to run tuner 1 to two monitors, because I'm using an IR remote extender, which can only work on #1. My guess is they used cheaper components in the coax out on that one, assuming that people would just use the RCA outs... then use the coax out on tuner 2 for the far monitor, which does work right and has the UHF remote. So I had to spend $30, so they could probably save $1 per unit. :-)
