I have a DishPro multiswitch... It works fine at my house, but if I hook it up at my parents house it does not detect the switch. Both of us have a Dish500. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the typical dish compatabillity problem. You have the Dishpro, which is not the same as a Dish500, or a DishProPlus. So, I would have to guess that you don't have the same system and would have to run a new sytem configuration once you have setup at the other house.
It takes 2 to tango, but only one to be nice!,

I have 2 Dish500 dishes that were purchased in a bundle with 2 DP301 receivers which are DishPro. I also have a brand new dish im not using. The box says Dish500 dish with DishPro twin LNBF... I dont see how it could be a compatiblity issue.

Have you considered calling Dish?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
