In the past few days Rogers seems to have made a clean break from providing Detroit HDTV stations on cable to Buffalo...which is a shame since I can already get Buffalo off antenna and Detroit was a nice alternative to when Buffalo was having issues (for instance, WGRZ tonight during Law & Order flickering between HD/SD).

In addition it's a bit of a downgrade, since ABC Detroit has 5.1 sound and ABC Buffalo is only 2.0 - so no more 5.1 programming there.

would complaining to rogers help at all? one of the reasons why i got rogers over bell was for the detroit channels as i'm a u of michigan fan and i got some extra games and programs via the detroit feed. now it's useless. can't they offer buffalo (if they have to due to crtc) and also detroit?

As far as I recall, the plan was always to revert to Buffalo when it was "stable", since according to the CRTC that's the region we're supposed to be receiving. However I think Rogers jumped the gun too early; Buffalo hasn't gotten their game together yet.

For instance tonight during Surface NBC kept cutting between HD and SD. CBS continues to have their sound problem where audio cuts out now and again. ABC has no 5.1. These are all regional issues not experienced via Detroit. The only stations I think are truly good to go in Buffalo are Fox and PBS.
