I was watching MNF with my Samsung T151 and indoor antenna setup (outdoor will be here this week), and I noticed that depending on where I was watching the station, the delay on the feed was different. CityTV HD seemed to always be first show something, with City TV SD having a 2 or 3 second delay, followed by WIVB DT - ABC Buffalo which was another 2 or 3 seconds behind. Obviously, I was unable to see WIVB-TV feed as the City TV feed was overlayed on cable and I can not pull in WIVB in NTSC OTA.
Anywyas, was there a reason for this or not? I just found it weird that City would be ahead in its coverage...

The American broadcasters add a 5 or 6 second "profanity" delay.

The HD feed is being downsampled to NTSC...that takes time.

I just found it weird... I did like the fact that CityTV would sometimes keep its feed longer than ABC would and show something stupid...
Also, I noticed that the CityTV HD logo never went away during advertisments...

No, instead you assumed that CITY is an american broadcaster who has added a profanity delay...of course, you're way off base.

Actually, his statement assumed that there was added delay by the Buffalo, NY, ABC affiliate, not the CityTV. Still off base since the NFL has added the delay, not the local retransmitters, so that would be universal.
It's just a longer path, most likely. DirecTV would likely be a couple seconds behind the ABC feed mentioned above since it typically has an extra trip through a satellite compared to other providers.
