Contacted WNLO/WIVB today and got the following response...
"We still await an HD receiver from UPN. Hopefully sometime in the fall we will get UPN on in HD. Doppler radar will not return in the near future. There has been no decisions on what we will eventually put on the sub channels. No conflicts are expected with Canadian HD stations. The 2 countries coordinate this to prevent conflicts. Due to CBS agreements we can only broacast what they allow us. Therefore you will only get one game at a time. No earth-shattering news about HDTV is forthcoming until we get closer to switching off analog around 2009.
Regards,
John Director of Engineering and Operations WIVB-TV/WNLO-TV"
Too bad we will only get 1 NFL game at a time as opposed to giving us one HDTV and a few SD versions. Was hoping UPN would start sooner rather than later, but nothing we can do. Also, too bad about doppler radar...
