I've not used leapfrog, but I have had success with X10.com's DVD anywhere product. It send audio and video wirelessly from the source, and your remote control's commands back to the source.

The DVD-Anywhere is simply a audio-video wireless transmitter with a way to send remote controls back to the source. It is targeted at those who have a DVD player in their computer but no conventional DVD player. It can be plugged into anything with RCA A/V outputs, and will send them to a receiver that can be plugged into a TV with RCA A/V inputs.

It DOES some with software to help you control the media players on your computer, but it is not limited to that use. If the computer aspect of that product bothers you, try this link:

It also includes the software to use with your computer, but will work with any Audio/Video source that has RCA outputs.
