I have a Samsung SIR-S4120R Tivo Satellite receiver and a Bose Lifestyle 38 system. The code for the Samsung is supposed to be 01442, but the Bose does not have that
code, i.e. it doesn't work.

Is there a way to train the Bose new codes? or
Is there another way I can convince the Bose to operate my Samsung?

thanx

What do you mean the code for the Samsung is supposed to be 01442? Where does that come from?

The bose 321 oem remote is made by UEI, the tivo code in it is Sat 1142. Sat code 01442 is the tivo code in the UEI universal remote made for Directv.com

Thats right, I found the code in the description of a Directv remote
[Link: directv.com]

Tivo was the right suggestion, before I was setting the device to "Sat" the brand to
"Samsung" and then I couldn't find the code. Now I set the brand to "Tivo" and those
two codes, i.e. 1142 and 1442 show up. I tried both settings, the 1442 actually seems to work better (it enables more buttons). This works for me now, the only downpart is
that the play-control buttons (stop, pause, ffwd, etc.) seem not to work with any of the two codes.

thanx for the Tivo hint
