suggested the DP44 (100-150 bucks) as that is
the only dist panel that will sstack over a single
cable. i am installing it next week so I will

Fred is correct, and cheaper.
Its actually a DPP (not DP) 44, (Stands for Dish Pro Plus, as opposed to Dish Pro) and its not needed unless you have 4 satellites to look at, or more than 2 boxes connected. It IS cascadable, (stackable) so you can expand as you desire. It just may be overkill. A simple DPP Twin and some seperators will do the job if you only have 2 boxes/4 tuners. It allows up to (2) dual tuner boxes to be run over a single RG-6 cable (4 TUNERS total)
