OK I know this is a long shot but here goes.

I have two rg6 runs from roof to downstairs closet
rg6 home runs from closet to 6 individual places in house.

Here is what I am looking to do

Dish 942 DVR in living room (only one RG6)

What I am looking for is if anyone knows how I could get two signals on the one RG6 from closet to living room. I heard something about stacking but am very unclear as to what that entails and if it is even possible

Stacking is correct. It is quite expensive, though, since they are designed for much larger applications. A few hundred dollars. Often easier to run a 2nd line.

With a Dish Pro Plus lnb the one line may work with a separator to the 942.
Then you can diplex tv2 back on tthe same line to the closet for distribution.

Well I was helped by Robbie over at IP and he suggested the DP44 (100-150 bucks) as that is the only dist panel that will sstack over a single cable. i am installing it next week so I will tell you how it goes.

Fred is correct, and cheaper.

Its actually a DPP (not DP) 44, (Stands for Dish Pro Plus, as opposed to Dish Pro) and its not needed unless you have 4 satellites to look at, or more than 2 boxes connected. It IS cascadable, (stackable) so you can expand as you desire. It just may be overkill. A simple DPP Twin and some seperators will do the job if you only have 2 boxes/4 tuners. It allows up to (2) dual tuner boxes to be run over a single RG-6 cable (4 TUNERS total)
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.
