The code for Insignia NS-30HTV is Memorex (code 0436 on my Atlas remote control... and likely the same for you).

I have a Shaw digital cable box and an Insignia 26" LCD Tv. Do you think I can get them to listen to me at the same time? I can turn the tv on and off with the remote now but the volume and channel buttons, well in fact every other button doesn't work on the remote. Any ideas?

Have you tried codes 0463, 0150, and 0054?

I have a 27" Insignia and a Dish Network RF remote. No codes for Insignia are in the book, but a little experimentation allowed me to find that code 720 worked, which is an Emerson code.

To all concerned,
We also purchased a 32" insignia TV, and using a Magnavox (Phillips) remote, I found the code "0150" worked for me. Hope this helps.
All the best

Thank you for your suggestions- I was afraid I was going to have to try every manufacturer name and code to figure out which one would work for the Insignia I bought. The Sansui worked for me, too.

I too purchased an Insignia Tv from bestbuy. I got the IS-TVHD30. If you have comcast set up is simple. Get your comcast remote. Press TV. Then hold setup until the tv light blinks twice. Then enter code 9-9-1. The TV light should flash twice. Then press "POWER" then "TV" alternate this until your TV turns off. (EX. "POWER" "TV" "POWER" "TV" until your tv turns off).... this took me about 40 times. ONCE YOUR HAVE THE CODE AND YOUR TV HAS TURNED OFF, press the setup button to store the code. (you may accidentally skip over the code it find because your trying to find the code, just repeat until your find it again but go slower).

I hope this helps, it took me about 20 mins to finally figure out how to program the damn thing!

To those with a 20" Insignia,

Will insignia send me a remote if I call and say
that it was not in the box? If the remote is supposed
to be included, don't they have to send one if it is missing?

If not, then I am interested in buying an Insignia remote
from anyone who got their universal to work. I don't use a
cable box and have had absolutely no luck with trying to find a code.
Just want to watch basic cable and play games.

Thanks,
DJ

1. Slide mode switch to TV
2. Press & HOLD the MUTE and SELECT keys until a light above the mode switch flashes twice
3. Enter 991 1
4. Press TV Power Button to see if TV resonds
5. If it doesn't, press the channel up button continuously until TV responds
