Is there a universal remote you could recommend. I am looking at the OFA 6131. Would you recommend this one or the Phillips PHDVR11? I don't have a dvr connected in her room.

The RC23 has the same codelist as the 6131, except the addition of a prefix 1**** for tv's, so if none of the codes in RC23 worked, neither will the ones in 6131. If you were to pick OFA remote like the urc-6820, it has twice the codes as the 6131, and it can learn about 100 commands. I can't speak for philips remotes.

We have Rogers here in Canada. Have tried all the codes and none of them work. Guess we have to live with it:-((

Well, I have returned the Insignia 24" tv. I got tired of using the two remotes for DiercTv, also, you have to change it to s-video, or av1 every time you turn the tv on. I'm thru with it. Had a good picture though. I decided to go with A smaller RCA 20" flat screen. Works great. Sorry Best Buy.

Hello,
I just purchased a Syntax Olevia LT26HVX and would like to use my Sony rm-y140 RF remote with it. This is the old directv remote that came with the Sat-A50 package. Does anyone have the 3-digit code for this remote?

i recently bought a insignia 24" television and a universal remote that has both the controls for that and foy my xbox 360 (made by microsoft) and i have looked every where and scanned my t.v for a code and have'nt been able to find one. Would anyone know where i could go to get one, or have the code?
it would be much appreciated

Thank you so much! I was able to program our cable remote using the code for Sansui although we bought the Insignia 32" from, none other than, Best Buy! lol We also have a panasonic surround sound system, however, it will not let me program that under audio and I already have components programmed under all the other available keys! Please help if possible! I've tried all panasonic codes and they are not working! The surround sound has a dvd player so I don't know if that has anything to do with it!

Okay, just some food for thought for those with the Insignia 24" Stereo TV and Comcast On-Demand Remote.
Tried codes associated with various TVs. Then tried ALL the codes; after you remove redundancies from the list of codes provided by Comcast, there are only about 58 unique codes. None worked. I continue to use the Insignia remote for on-off and volume. I can provide the list of 58 unique codes for those who are interested.
Comcast remote works perfectly with Panasonic DVD player; not at all with the Insignia 24".
Interesting.
