Just bought a Insignia HDTV. I am using a Samsung SIR-TS360 HD Sat receiver. Cannot get a code to control the TV from the Samsung remote. Tried all the suggestions in this thread to no avail. I do have a standard Directv remote and it will control the TV using the 10463 code but it will not control my Samsung receiver. Any ideas???

I'm also frustrated trying to find the code for the Insignia 26" widescreen HDTV for my TIVO (Phillips 7000). Best Buy, Insignia tech. support and DirectTV couldn't help me.
Insignia does not come up under the listed brands.
Anyone who knows the code - help PLEASE!

Now its time for you to try a codesearch, then you'll be sure there is a code or not.

1. press and hold TV power & DTV key, until the light remains on
2. enter 0-9-9-9
3. keep pressing Channel UP, until the TV goes out.
4. press ENTER to lock the code in if you find one.

I purchased the Insignia IS-TV040924 (27" Flat-tube TV) and I have a older Hughes DirectTV receiver (HIRD-E11) and remote. I called Insignia at 1-877-467-4289 (www.insignia-products.com) and they advised that they use the same IR set that can be found on the following devices:

Orion
Emerson
Memorex
Sansui
Sylvania
Zenith

I was sucessful with the Emerson code 096 (after about 30 others).

Good Luck!

/Jeff

Thanks Jeff,
The code for the Insignia TV's should follow the Zenith Code of 096. Worked ok for me!

Look under Sylvania for the Insignia IS-TV040928. I have a scientific Atlanta settop box from cablevision. Hope this helps

The Orion codes work on the Insignia HDTV's. Orion supplies many of the tubes and electronics for several manufacturer's.

i am in desperate need of a factory remote for the insignia 26" widescreen HDTV, i just bought the tv at best buy, not realizing that there was no tv/video button on the tv. I have bought 2 universal remotes, but to no avail. If anyone has a spare remote please e-mail me at [email protected], thanks

I need help. I have a 20" Insignia and I am using a Hughes HDVR-2 remote control for Directv. I have tried all the above suggestions, and none work. Am I supposed to leave the directv remote on SAT or TV when entering these codes? I have it set on SAT when I tried all the above codes. Please help. Thanks.

It doesn't matter what its set to when entering the code. Forget about the code #'s in this thread, its the brands you need to pay attention to, then go into the Tivo menu and try the codes listed there for those same brands.

I tried all the brands listed in this thread and looked them up in the DirecTivo for their codes and none worked. I tried Tatung, Memorex, Sylvania, and Zenith. Orion and Sansui were not listed in my tivo. Any other suggestions?

Time for a codesearch, if that doesn't pan out, then you know for sure there isn't a code.
