Found paper work today, yesterday I emailed their consumer affair office but no reply as of yet.

Will try calling when I feel like waiting on the phone for hours.

I called a few minutes ago and I was told Samsung is having trouble with Shipping. I said I thought it was Pending Final Audit not shipping. They said that it will change to shipping when it is shipped and that due to the "Shipping problem" it will be another couple of weeks. I told them that I would be calling them in another two weeks.

I just got off the phone with Samsung and got zero additional info from them.

I even got the same person I talked to three weeks ago with the same BS of "We are waiting on third party verification before we can activate your rebate".

Plus she says "You would not want me to send it if it is not activated"---- Duh !!!!!

I asked for a manager and was told there is no Manager present and if there was the manager could not supply me with any additional information.

I told the operator that I will call the better business bureau about this.

The operator could have cared less.

I called Circuit City to see if they could help and they were confused about "third Party verification" so I call back to the rebate place and found out that they have a third party do verification for them. So basically a rebate company hires a rebate company to do verification. But than I found out even more bad news. I am not even sure it is a $50.00 rebate afterall. The rebate place is calling it a gift card. It may be that after waiting since January I can only use it in Circuit City !! It sure was not explained to me that way at time of purchace. All I heard was register for your $50.00 rebate.

I'm not a violent person... but this kind of business practice makes me want to return the item ala "Discount Tire's" commercial. You know the one where they say that if at anytime you are unsatisfied, please return the tires... and they show a tire being thrown through a plate glass window!

I recently had a similar experience with Expedia. Their web site promised a $600 rebate on a cruise. The first info I got back thanked me for applying for my $300 rebate... Aaaarrrggghhhhh! After nearly an hour on the phone, they agreed that yes, It should be $600, and they'd fix it. I then had to repeat this scenario of the email showing the wrong amount and the hour long phone call because they didn't get it write the second time.

I got my "Rebate" in my email last week. I can use it to buy gift certificates good for a number of retailers.... Aaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

If I only knew how to write a good virus that could crash their servers!

Yeah Don..im still trying to use up these cingular rebate cards..since they wont scan if the amount youre trying to pay is more than on the card its almost impossible to completely use it!!!..i have to buy something for $1.37 or less on the one!!!..never again!!!

Tell the clerk you'd like to pay with two seperate forms of payment. Tell them you want to pay $1.37 with your card, and pay the rest in some other form. Many places will do this without any problem.

Woo Hoo !! I finally received my $50.00 Samsung Visa Rebate coupon in the mail. Of course the Web site still says "Awaiting Final Audit".

Maybe the repeated threats I made to bring this to the attention of the Better Business Bureau helped - Not !!!!

Any way it sure would be easy to assume that the rebate coupon is just another Visa Card offer when it comes in the mail.
