Has anyone seen any ATSC 3.0 hardware? For me, I'm talking PC, PCI or PCIe capture cards, because with this new equipment they're installing, then my MDP-130s will be obsolete tech, sooner than I thought.

This will mean a poor signal for WNYO s Grand Island 3.0 signal as its very directional away from Canada.

How directional? the CW is my favourite Buffalo station.
Can you point me to a URL, please?

WNYO-DT  on  proposed (still pending) contour line (at 575 kW EPR) is:

As for ATSC 3.0  PC, PCI or PCIe capture cards hardware, I don't think they are in production yet.  The ATSC just released the standard for Scheduler / Studio to Transmitter Link in January.  [read PDF at ATSC.org link]

WNYO Grand Island. As you can see from link it would be from 3kw to 250 watts toward the GTA depending on your location for this application.

My Bad, one letter thrown me off, but thank you anyway.
MyTV and its sub-channels are always difficult for me, even in Welland.

OBICO...Thanks, I'm supposed to be in their contour area now but there has been only one night since it became available that I was able to see that COMET channel. Right now, as typical in early spring, Mother Nature is playing silly beggars with my outdoor antennae, reflections and side-signals [is that the proper term?] like when there was snow on the ground recently and others' roofs. Only after nightfall or when it became cloudy did the signal quality improve. The indoor antennae has a perfectly pixel-block free image but only works on the five strongest Buffalo stations. My outdoor is fifteen years old and may be due for replacing.
Its good I'm into downloading, so I don't miss much, just 24 hour news.
Still have a usage cap, but with a new CPU I can play 1080p HEVC files without stutter but not all are equal, some have lots of compression artefacts. Which proves MPEG-2 while bulky, is still king, for resolution and detail.

83 page .pdf downloaded and saved to Sumatra Folder..TY.

Hi I have a question.

I got a EAGLESTAR PRO 53-6165V and it works well. i got 35 channels and 40 plus at late night.

Can Get 2 of them and point one to Toronto and the other to buffalo?

How do I wire that?? Do i use both boosters? Can I get a better booster like a channel mastercm 7777 to run both?

Sorry for so many questions but im worried If I use both boosters.

1.  Here is a list of replies made in 2012 in this same forum about the Eagle 53-61651V.  I myself cannot make any endorsements of this antenna.

2.  What channels can you not receive?  It might not be the antenna; it could be a non-direct line of sight.

WNYO-DT  today was granted approval by the FCC to move its transmitter to Grand Island in 2020 on RF  with a maximum ERP of 575 kW.

Wind turbines are in the process of being installed in Arkwright, New York south of State Route 83, as far north as Straight Road; and Center Road will split the project in half with turbines on the east and west side of the road.
WNYB's transmitter is located just south of Ball Road and east of Center Road.

Hopefully WNYB-DT's increase to 4.0 kW on  will overcome any disruption.

A source has suggested that it is likely that WBXZ-LP's application to move to RF 23 has to be amended.

" ...it fails to Canada.  It'll have to be amended to fix that problem.  If it doesn't get fixed, it will not be granted."
