What is the best way to go if I want to receive programs broadcast in dolby digital format. I changed from analog to digital cable when it became available. Even though I love having the on-screen program guide available with digital cable, I was hoping that movies would be broadcast in 5.1 surround sound. My cable box (GI DCT2244) doesn't have a digital out port. Will I ever be able to get 5.1 sound from this setup?
It sounds like some channels are broadcasting in dolby digital but only to satelite systems. Do satelite dishes provide better sound/picture than digital cable? Please go easy on me. You can probably tell I'm not an expert in this field.
Thanks.
