I finally found a way under $300.00 learning remote to control on and off, channel up and down, menu, info, guide, PIP repeat and OK from another room of my TS160.
Anyone interested in its name and where I bought it?

Lowe's hardware it's $14.96 their number 214962

It's a Philips Magnavox PM525S

Samsung code is 601.

From another room at least 100 feet away using Xantech remote extender it turns Samsung 160 on and off and all those other things a Kameleon or All in one won't for a lot less.

Only one problem. Select keys for left right up and down you have to learn using CBL button all others work under SAT button. And keys are shaped like numbers.

For an office remote to switch on Fox news its a good price.

Oh and it takes 2 triple A's

Sounds like an RF remote. Or an MX-500 bounced through the doorway.

Oops. Late post makes me look dumb. Oh, well.

You're putting down IR remotes like OFA and others because they're IR and not RF. Then your solution is to buy another IR remote then add a remote extender, which I suggested in your very first thread. Your full of it.

No. I've had an IR extender for 6 years with my Sony Sat directv receiver before I purchased this TS160.

I was just trying to work TS160 from same other rooms as I did with Sony remotes. When I couldn't buy another Samsung TS160 remote and wasn't going to pay for a MX500 or Pronto and Kameleon and All for One still won't turn TX160 I found this PM525S. And it works just fine.

Well, congrats. This forum isn't about jp1 remotes, it's about finding what works for each person. And it appears you did that. So everyone tone down a bit, please.
