I am about to order my DirectTV but had one more question. I have PIP on my main tv, but the tv doesn't have a second tuner. Currently I use my vcr as the second tuner receiving it's signal from a cable splitter from the cable outlet. Can I use this current setup with satellite?

You can get 1-box PIP only with Ultimate TV by Micro$oft. I THINK the software allows for PIP, now. But UTV has been discontinued for the moment, so finding one would require buying used.
Sat doesn't allow for 1 box to give separate output signals.

A tv with one tuner PIP, uses the inputs for the second image. You can exchange your VCR for your Satellite.or you can connect the Sat to the inputs of the VCR. I would go with the latter, it gives Ant,Tape, and Sat in the PIP.
