I can't seem to locate another directv Tivo. I bought a Sony at Best Buy for $300 then a DSR6000 from AMerican Sat for $100. Now I can't seem to find one in stock anywhere.

Any suggestions?

It still is backordered but you should get it by christmas, also the fee is only 4.99 with some packages, free with others.

The new Series II DVR (Tivo is taken out of the name) is available for preorder at Circuit City. I think a couple have even shipped.

Those backorders at DirecTV may actually end up being a Series II instead of a Sony T60. That's a theory, not based on any fact.

I just purchased a Hughes HDVR2 series 2 direct/tivo reciever from my local Best Buy store. It cost $249 and was a gift for my in-laws who are current Direct
subscribers. It also is available at Orbitsat.com for the same price. I am so happy with my Philips DSR6000 that I was disappointed when I learned it is no longer available new.

Try Good Guys, Tweeter, Ultimate Electronics. All have it for $199. (which is MSRP)

BB and CC are gouging people for no good reason. CC took preorders at $199, but now lists it for $299. Ripoff.
