I recently upgraded to a progressive scan DVD for my home theater room. The DVD I was using I want to hook up to the TV in my kids play room, the problem is the TV only has a cable jack as its only input and the DVD player does not have cable in/cable out jacks. Any suggestions on how I could hook this DVD player to this TV?

Radio Shack has a stereo modulator which will allow you to plug in the audio/video into it, and then it outputs the signal via coax cable to your TV on channel 3 or 4.

It goes for $20.

Do you have a VCR on the same TV? Connect the DVD to the line inputs on the VCR.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

oops.

right.

My son bought one of those Martek or Mitroch or whatever DVD players for $65 a while back, and we had it hooked up to a VCR for three months before I realized that the DVD player was not good enough to output the macrovision signal!

Thanks for being so nice in the face of my stupidity!

Ernie
