I have an RCA DSS system and a Mits 16x9 TV. There is an option on one of the DSS menus where you tell it if you want 4x3, or 16x9. I choose 16x9 but nothing changes. What is that DSS option all about?

Wayne, you can get the letterbox movies without having to fiddle around with the setup menu of the receiver, even on a 4x3 set. Since Jack has a 16x9 TV he should be seeing these 16x9/letterbox movies in "fullscreen" on his set, but he isn't.

Jack, I read that DirectTV was rumoured to transmit an anamorphic signal for selected movies, but of course nothing has come of it.
