I currently have an RCA DRD430RG with S-Vid going to a Sony 57" RPTV. The picture isn't very good, has anyone seen the component output of the DRD485? I know it's not HD, but it must be better then S-vid??
Thanks

Component output??

We do a lot of DRD-485 receivers, and I haven't seen a component output yet.

Do you mean composite??

They have a COMPONENT Output (Y Pb Pr), although it's not a high def unit. Are you sure you're usinig 485's?

Since there hasn't been a response to this thread for a while, thought I'd drop in my $.02. I went through three of the 485's (all had issues with even transponders failing - going in and out). Picture on the SVHS wasn't too bad, but didn't have a chance to try the component, so I can't comment on that. Stuck with a temporary basic Samsung unit for now (yuck!)
