I just hooked up a direct hd dish with sat A/B/C, the problem is that i have to allign the dish so that all the 3 different signals have a " happy medium" meaning that if you get a stronger strength on one that you lose the other , expecially in rain faid. the best solution is to install 3 separate dishes to get the best signal on each of them then use the sat c kit combiner and the hd multiswitch. but as we all know our customers don't want 3 dishes. I know in the next month channelmaster is coming out with a bigger dish with 3 LNB's to help with the rain faid. but i was wondering if other installers were having the same problem as me, even when ther were just 2 LNB's?

Haven't had that problem, either, although I have only done a couple of the three LNB setups here in Southern California, looking up at 46 degrees, if that makes a difference. Spot-beaming probably makes more of a difference.
It seems to me that you would have to do exactly what you are doing if a)the three LNBs are not in a straight line, meaning their mounting is somehow screwed up, and b)the tilt is not adjusted correctly, meaning that if you set the elevation best for one LNB, you are moving another LNB out of its best position.
I did one yesterday. With a Panasonic HD DSS, the A LNB gave me 78 on evens, 91 on odds, and both B and C LNBs were around 90. That is unusually high for B and C, and a bit low for A evens,

I had to go to two dishes here in MI since rain fade was terrible with the B in the 70's and A in the 80's now both are in the mid 90's and all is good.

I am an amateur (installed my own then added the Sat C LNB recently.) I was able to get 90+ on the original LNB's and 80+ on the Sat C LNB. Had to fiddle with it for awhile.

I live in Phx Az there is not a lot of weather here, we get 90 or so on A, B, and C. I find it easier to use one dish instead of 3.
