Cox cable is telling me that they will be offering HD cable (with a new upcharge for the box, of course) in mid November. Does cable have the bandwidth for HD? Will it be a band-aid type of a deal or can they do true HD as with a sat system?
Also, with all of the free sat offers is there anyone that offers great deals on HD sat systems for a single TV?
Thanks,
Marc

I have HD Cable through TWC and it definitely does work, coax cable has a ton of bandwidth, I get 8 HD channels right now and about 15 in the next couple months. 5.1 sound is dependent on the program material, but if it's not 5.1 it's at least 2 channel PCM. I have 4 HD TV's in my house and each one has it's own box...it's like a multiplex!!
