Hey, just hoping somebody might have discreet codes for the scientific atlanta 3100hd cable box, on/off specifically. I really just need on/off to make macros work smoother. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the one major issue that remote control programmers have with manufacturers is that many of them do not give us remote signals that will definitely turn the set EITHER on or off, but not both. Of course he has a remote! Now he'd like to have a signal that will never under any circumstance turn the box off when he intends to turn it on.
Speaking of which, I have some Zenith LCDs where Channel Up turns them on... THIS is the kind of thing that Brant needs. With that command, I can ALWAYS turn the TVs on with Channel up, and reserve "Power" for turning them off.

I am in the same boat. I need to write a macro that makes certain that the cable box is always on when the macro is pressed. The problem occurs only when there has been a power outage.
If you or anyone can assist us, please pass the on and off codes.

I am looking for the 4 digit
IR codes for the 3100 cable box for
use with a yamaha remote.
Does anyone have them?
