I have a Sony SAT-B50 receiver and a RCA DWD490RE UltimateTV/DSS receiver and some of the Sony remote functions (like calling up Guide, changing channels, etc.) activate the RCA as well. Is there any way to correct these conflicts? I use one IR system throughout my house so that I can control and then view either receiver on any tv in the house so merely having them in different rooms will not help. I need to have the IR addresses be completely different. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve

Can you change the remote address on the Sony receiver?

Well, that was my hope. But I'm not sure how to check if I can do that. Would there be a button or switch on the receiver itself that would do that?

WOW! You're right! That is so great. Thank you so much. I hadn't tried it since the upgrade and had them in different rooms, however with our new house we have wiring that I wanted to have them broadcast throughout the dual coax I have in each room and use the pre installed ir system that I also had.

This eliminates a major headache. Thanks again.
