My cable box is IRDA (pace ditv1000) which is not the end of the world but I want to control it using my PC and one of the many USB to IRDA adaptors.
Is there any software that learns the signals from an IRDA remote and plays them back???????????

Hi, I've got the exact same box (Pace DITV-1000). I'm using the Powermid XL 8in1 IR/RF Remote.
The Remote works fine with this box using code 500. The only major drawback though is the Receiver unit which will not work with the box when using the remote from another room.
I'm looking for a way to control the PACE Box from another room.

There is a device from AEI in the UK that does a type of relay function of the IrDA signals so you can change channels from your bedroom. They changed their site during the past week at www.irdasender.net
