I would really like to upgrade my Dish Network system to include the DishPVR501 receiver (with hard disc recorder), but I am not willing to sacrifice the complete system control I have with the MX500. Does anyone know if this receiver is capable of infrared control?? If so, how do I set it up?? Called Dish Network, they were no help at all (the CSR could not seem to grasp the difference between RF and Infrared control, and actually burped into the phone during our conversation, LOL!!) The 501 is fully capable of IR and RF control. The receiver is designed to operate IR and RF simultaneously.
