does anyone know how to enter the programming mode, to check your signal strength? i saw the installer do it by pushing buttons on the front of the box but didn't watch close enough-

by diamond, i assume you are meaning the largest of the buttons in between channels and volume? if so didn't work-

I belive you need to hold down the "diamond" button for 3-4 seconds and then press another button (don't remember which one)

You need to hold down the enter(center of the arrows) button for 3-4 seconds until the led lights up and then press the "diamond" button

my explorer doesn't have an "enter" or an led, that lights up after i hold down the diamond, in the center of the arrows, you're not referring to the remote are you?

no on the box itself...hold down the button in the middle of the arrows...3-4 seconds...then press the "diamond" I did this today on a S.A. 2100

ok your right with me here thanks for your time, i have the button in the middle of the arrows in 3-4 seconds no led lights up, however which one is then the diamond?

something is amiss here, starting from the right side of the box pwr button,settings,exit,info,guide, then the channel up,down and volume left/right with the lg button in the middle that i am holding down, however thats it, nothing is to the left of thatexcept the led- appreciate your time here-it's important to me trying to get a signal strength reading to prove time warner wrong-

is there an led light below the the channel display (not in the display window)?

there is a bypass led and an email led indicator below the display window, however the display window always shows the clock not channel numbers-this box was just installed 2 wks ago as part of time warners "digital upgrade" they came back and replaced it then rechecked signal strength-because channels above 100 would periodically freeze up or not come in at all, also box would shut itself down-they are blaming condominium wiring i changed all exterior cables to rg6-trying to monitor the signal strength to report the fluctuations i think they have a leak-

any amp or splitters? sounds like there might be more than one model 2100.. try holding down the other buttons one of the leds should light.

no amps no splitters- in fact even using s-video out of the box to tv-guess there are more than 1 version of this box-i've tried every combo of pushes i can imagine here-including the remote,the pwr button on the box, which is what most companies do-cant get into diags thanks again though-
