I'm looking to buy an Antenna to ad local HD channels. I have a Sony Plasma PFM42B1 with Sony SAT HD100 tuner and direct tv.
Any suggestions or comments on the Terk Antennas ( TV55 or TV60 etc.)?
Thanks Eric

Radio Shack double bow-tie is the clear winner over at www.avsforum.com HDTV Hardware section. -Robert

The Terks are expensive. They are just antennas, much cheaper ones can be had that are just as good or better.
The double bow-tie is great, if you are planning on putting it on top of the TV. If you plan/need to put it outside, check out Channelmaster and Winegard antennas.

My sister just did the quality test and said the Terk is a piece of junk. Her 10 year old antenna worked better than the new Terk.

I just did the quality test also.
Terk 55 ($100) vs. "normal" Radio shack boom antenna in my attic $29.95. No signficant difference. Terk goes back tomorrow.
