Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for remotes not working in an office environment with high output flourescent lights? These are Dish Network remotes and they will only operate the receiver with the lights off. Is there an IR booster which might fix the problem?

Are you directly controlling the receiver with the remote, or are you using an IR distribution system to control hidden receivers.

If it's the latter, make sure you get IR receivers that are designed for a flourescent environment. If it's the former, you may be out of luck, just make sure the batteries are good, that might help.

Finally, you could always use something like this to convert the IR to RF and back again.

two things you could try
1) take off some of the bulbs near the device
2) add some kind of object near the device to make shade over the IR receiver

In one of our conference rooms the projector was being blinded by the light. We just took out the bulbs nearer the projector and it worked
