I really have two questions...
1. Does someone know how to eliminate the "hazy" effect in the black areas?
2. What kind of Directv receiver I need to get HDTV on this particular plasma?
They say it is full hdtv ready... but what does this mean?

1. I'm not familiar with plasma TVs but have you adjusted the brightness and contrast? Or done a calibration with Avia or Video Essentials DVD?

2. Any that say they are HD compatible.

Full HDTV ready. I take that to mean it will display either 720p or 1080i or maybe both. I think older plasma TVs would only display 480p (or 540p) which is EDTV (enhanced digital TV).
