I currently have A Mitsu 65" HDTV with the DTC100 Reciever. I would desperately like to get Tivo. I now see that Tivo comes built in most Direct tv Recievers. Can I get a Tivo reciever and hook it up to this system, If so How?
Thanks, Kevin

Kevin,
I have a DTC100 and a 55" Diamond, while Tivo can work with the DTC100 it is a hassle! If you are using the DTC100 like I am and have it in HD mode all of the time the other outputs are disabled so the TIVO can't see anything. YOu need a pronto type remote to macro everything to the right state but even this is not convienent. Better to get either a built in unit with tivo for another TV or a standalon TIVO on a non-HD reciever. Once I put the TIVo on a regular reciever I love and don't know how I lived without it. As for your other question on PIP you can't get a second PIP when you are in HD mode on my 905 all other modes you can get a second source. Hope that helps

With a DirecTivo, you just need to connect it to the multi-switch on your dish. It works independently of your RCA receiver.

There's really no advantage to having a TiVo connected to a DTC100. TiVo can't record HDTV, so you'd be better off with a DirecTiVo for your recording purposes.
