Okay, I have a problem with two potential solutions, but I need help with both solutions.

Here is the background. . . I had my satellite "professionally" installed, and every thing worked great. I just finished my bonus room and now I need to make changes. I have a 501 system with a UHF remote. The command center is located downstairs in the master bedroom. All of my good equipment is now upstairs in the bonus room. I want to have one remote for everything upstairs. The problem is how do I control my satellite from upstairs, when the box is down stairs with only one remote?

Solution 1:
Is their a remote that will allow me to control all of my devices upstairs and my satellite downstairs?
-Keep in mind that my devices are stored in a cabinet under the TV, so if I use some type of IR extender, I will need to put that on top of the cabinet, and one in the cabinet.
-Are their IR extenders that will allow me to put the device in two places? If so, thins may solve my problem.

Solution 2 (preferred if possible):
-To me the simple solution would be to move the satellite command center upstairs. I can keep using the standard UHF remote downstairs, because I only have a TV down there.
-So that leads me to my next question. . . How can I move my 501 upstairs and still watch TV downstairs?
-Currently my cable runs from the dish to the command center in the bedroom. From the command center it runs to a splitter. On end of the splitter stays in the bedroom. The other goes through the floor and up to the bonus room.
Is there a way to move the box upstairs, and still have both TVs connected to it? Do I have to run another cable (if so, how)?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
