I have a RCA DTC100 HD rcvr with the requisite Audio Authority VGA to (Y Pb Pr) adaptor to a Sony VPL-VW10HT LCD front projection unit. I have DirecTV (2 dual LNB 18" dishes) and a terrectial directional UHF antenna mounted in the attic of a 2 story house. The signal strength as read from ther rcvr is fine for the terrestial channels yet occassionally I lose it only when in HD mode on the rcvr and the projector in the YPbPr mode. When in S-video on Standard definition mode I always get the signal.

I recently installed a system for a neighbor using the Panasonic HDTUS20 rcvr and it is solid re: HD contect. Another nice benefit is that it doesn't have the junky AA interface box. Has anyone out there have a data driven opinion on the robustness of the RCA DTC100 vs the Panasonic? I may eventually get one yet before I do I want input.

I read a review on the late etown.com website that commented on the poor OTA reception of the DTC-100. The reviewer attached the same antenna to various boxes and the DTC-100 was just poor at locking in on the weaker signals.
