I just purchased a Samsung Q60T 43 QLED TV that came with a Samsung BN59-01274A Smart Remote Control. I have looked online for any tips, mods, or getting started for new users. My inputs are cable box, Nvidia shield, and dvd player. I have the following questions:
1) How do you cycle through the inputs?
2) Can you program a button to take you to an input?
3) Can you program a button to take you directly (and open) a particular Samsung App from the app store?
4) How do I re-map the NETFLIX, PRIME VIDEO, SAMSUNG TV PLUS buttons to do something else?

I searched online and could not find much information on Samsung BN59-01274A Smart Remote Control. I have an Universal Remote MX-980 in the other room, but really wanted to something simple for this setup.

Sorry but that is a preprogrammed only remote, you're stuck with whatevers preset, no means to change them.

Get real programmable remote like the Interset 422-3:

Its learning remote but it also accepts advanced codes (EFC's) which are 5 digit codes for individual functions like discrete input commands or apps. Samsung tv's use tv code 10812, see tthe efc's by mdavej in this thread:

I got the remote. Thank you. Also thank you for the EFC codes. How do I program EFC codes for individual buttons for the below

On the Interset I wanted to ability to switch between the HDMI inputs. HDMI 1 is a Cable Box, HDMI2 is a nVidia Shield Pro.

00081HDMI 1/DVI
00030HDMI 2
00175HDMI 3
00176HDMI 4

How do I input EFC codes into the Inteset INT-422-3?

Hi Edmund & Remote Central Community. I got the remote you suggested. You are spot on with your recommendation. Thanks. Quick question. How do I program the Interset 422-3 to use Device Button to also switch HDMI inputs.

So the work flow I would program is to HIT A and performs the following: 1) Turns on the TV 2) Turns on the cable box 3) Changes input to HDMI 1. I and also for the Nividia wants to HIT B) and performs the 1) Turns on the TV 2) Turns on the Nvidia Shield 3) Changes input to HDMI 2.
