Hello guys,

It's my first post so I hope I'm on the proper Topic.

I'm trying to control the last Roku Premiere via IR signals but without success so far.

With my company we are used to control Rokus via IR signals from the Roku 1 to the Roku 4.
Even if the remote controllers of the Roku 3 and 4 are WiFi (for what I found in my research), the boxes are computing IR signals.

Unfortunately, things seems to be different with the Roku Premiere. I'm not able to control it in the same way than the Roku 3 or 4. Is someone knows if the Roku Premiere is still able to works with IR signals?

Thanks for your help,

Yes it is IR compatible. Roku site specifies IR compatible for both the Premiere and Premiere +. Obviously, you can't learn any IR from a Premiere + remote, so you'll have to use built in codes or pronto hex or whatever you IR remotes typically use. All Rokus use exactly the same IR codes.

And obviously, the Roku will have to be line of sight to control it via IR.

Yes, it is controllable with the existing Roku codes but I have yet to find a way not to get double hits on the cursor controls. I've tried numerous codes but have not exhausted all of them. I wasn't successful with the "2016 models" commands that others have reported having success.

I end up turning off repeats and then they work well - just no continuous scrolling.

Thanks to you both for you answers.

Indeed it's working, my IRTrans was misconfigurated and also it was very hard to find the IR receiver on the box.

Also I confirm that I'm using the Roku 3 remote controller mapping on the Premiere Plus and it's working fine.

Thanks again, this topic can be closed
