I've tried setting up my Sony 620 to control my Apple TV4 by using the ATV remote setup procedure. I've gone through the process twice, but get the same results. The... menu, directional, and center select buttons, all work. None of the DVR transport buttons work though. During the setup process the transport buttons all seem to get accepted by the ATV. But when you hit them, the only thing that happens is that the front light blinks. Nothing actually happens. I also see nothing in the ATV remote setup process, to get the top right monitor button on the Apple remote, to be applied anywhere on the universal remote. They didn't include that in the remote setup for some reason. Which is annoying, because that's the one that allows you to put it to sleep with one press. I'm wondering... Should I maybe try a different base code set on that device button, and then try it again? Any suggestions are appreciated. I didn't even realize it, but the normal ATV4 remote communicates through bluetooth, so getting the Sony to learn off the remote is not going to happen. I do have a gen 3 remote, but I'm not sure how I can use that to make the universal one work.
