Just wondering if a review of this device is planned for the remote central site? I have one and find it very disappointing. has anyone else had chance to try one?

more info about the blaster can be found below

Unfortunately the link doesn't want to work for me, but at least I found " target="_blank">this, which gives some idea of what it's about.

I've previously dabbled with smartphone/tab apps, but haven't found them to be much of an improvement over my Xsight Touch. The addition of a reasonably cheap and discrete Bluetooth/IR blaster does, however, pique my interest.

What is it you find disappointing about it?

Sorry in the late reply. I'm not sure why the link didn't work, it is at my end!
The range seems really bad and the ir leds need to be pointing directly at my hardware. So the claim it offers 360 coverage is a bit misleading

Many thanks for the feedback; I might try one nonetheless.

PS
The link works okay now.

I finally went with this. It seems like it's in active development, and gaining steam. I went with it primarily for the reason that I can control my wifi-enabled TV now.

It has the ability to change the interface controls, buttons, whatnot, and create macros, which I really like. But i can't figure out how to do that other than on the phone itself, which is...a pain.

So. All I'm saying is...I'd love to see support or a presence of Anymote here on RC!

Viscouse,

I'm just starting to create some stuff on this platform as well. Look here...its not much but its something:

https://remotes.anymote.io

You will have to have backed up one of your remotes from the app first and created an account to use it. I'm currently trying to figure out how to make the remote interfaces that they show in some of their older pictures right now.
