I am having a hard time programming my Samsung blu-ray player (HD-BT1250) to work with my Comcast remote (silver remote w/ red OK/Select button). I called Comcast after I tried all the codes listed on the remotes manual and the Comcast representative also gave me additional codes to try that did not work. I'm wondering if anyone can guide me with a workaround to get this to work. Thanks in advance.

Sorry all, HT-BD1250 is the correct blu-ray player model. Thanks.

That leading HT means that Samsung considers this to be a Home Theatre system, rather than a BluRay player. I suppose that the system has speakers, etc.
Samsung BluRay players use the Samsung36 IR protocol and the setup code in a Comcast remote is 20199. Samsung HT systems use NECx2 device 67.83, and the Comcast remote is not capable of sending that IR protocol, nor can it be manually programmed to do so.

You can either buy a JP1 cable to add in an upgrade ($29, software is free) or buy (or find) a variety of remotes.
The most obvious one to get is the RCA RCRP05B ($20 at Best buy. Walgreens) and use setup code Audio 1295.

Maybe you could find an Atlas remote used by a number of cable companies. High end Vizio remotes tend to have this setup code also. OneForAll URC-8820. Radio Shack 15-100/133/134/135.
